What Are Gamebooks?

Gamebooks are those kinds of books which are not normal books. Normal books are books which consist of sentences strung together
from left to right which read down one page and onto another, with an ending that appears on the very last page. Those types of books contain lazy stories. Fat, paunchy, couch-potato stories which are only interested in one thing: being read. They don’t care about you. Not a jot. For as well as being lazy, these stories are very selfish. They expect you to read only one story - that story found by turning every page, one after the other.
Well, you can’t do that with gamebooks. In gamebooks, the pages are all scrambled up. You are the hero, and you will have to decide which way to go, which creatures to trust, and ultimately, how the story ends. You can make your choices by following the instructions at the end of each paragraph. You can also cast spells, collect valuables, and solve the puzzles which will give you clues. You must choose wisely, because once you have turned the page, you will not be able to go back!

Will you dare to read a gamebook?
